Just last week during a relief event named Operation: New Hope a young hopeful has been able to inspire us and we would like to share his short and sweet story with you.

Ravin's bamboo bank held coins worth Php 1,220 in all, and here is his
savings after being converted to bills.
For many weeks now, a wonderful event with the name of Operation: New Hope has been active in giving relief to the affected people of Northern Cebu from the super typhoon Yolanda. Headed by the 501st Legion – Philippine Outpost in partnership with Star Wars Cebu, Consolacionanon Official Page, Young Lawyers Association of Cebu, and CRAFT, the event has been gathering and distributing donations in waves along with other volunteers.

As mentioned earlier, last week we have found a young hopeful who has given all he could give for such a worthy cause at such a young age. Namely, Ravin Mangubat, this three-year-old boy from Cebu has given the whole content of his bamboo piggy bank, probably his life savings, which was equivalent to Php 1,220. Such a big amount for someone so small, he gladly gave up his savings to help those “people who lost their homes.”

With this amount, the group was able to buy many goodies to bring joy to the typhoon Yolanda victims. The amount little Ravin gladly handed over was big, but his heart and future is bigger! Below is the picture of what goods Ravin’s savings were able to buy, credits to the picture belongs to the New Hope group:
