American Idol Season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez is using her talent of a beautiful voice as a way to raise funds for the Super Typhoon Yolanda victims through a concert and a song. Filipino-Mexican sensation talked about her first benefit concert in an interview by ABS-CBN News and how it will take place on the World Wide Web at www.stageit.com on Friday night at 5pm (Pacific Time).
“We’re doing a little mini concert on stageit.com. You can
get your tickets on stageit.com and they’re only $10 all the proceeds go
to the Red Cross. We’re working on a song right now I just wrote it not
too long ago to help with the typhoon victims in the Philippines,”
she said.
Jessica is also set to return to the Philippines for the 3rd
time since AI to partner up with Manny
Pacquiao to organize relief efforts.
But international stars don’t stop there as Glee star, Darren Criss who is a Filipino-Irish singer/actor is also showing
his love and support to the Philippines as he released a video on YouTube to his fans worldwide to
campaign for donations for the Yolanda victims. Each person to donate $25
dollars to his personal website www.darrencriss.com will not only
be able to save a life, but receive a special postcard that quotes “You’re Not
Alone” which also bears his autograph.
