As a celebration of their 20th
anniversary within the movie industry, Star
Cinema is offering Momzillas, a hilarious
and very clever story about two families and two mothers starring the ‘Diamond
Star’ actress Maricel Soriano and ‘Rough
Diamond Star’ Eugene Domingo and
co-stars Billy Crawford and Andi Eigenmann as the couple to be
married.
Referred to as Maricel’s ‘comeback’
after a short vacation off the screen, Momzillas is directed by Wenn V. Deramas who has already worked
alongside Eugene in several other films, but it’s the first he has worked with Maricel, whom he admires
as a favorite comedienne, along with Eugene.
Wenn’s enthusiasm was
back-up with his comments about working with both Maricel and Eugene, “It’s a
dream team, two super-comediennes, na magaling din sa drama,
in one movie. What more can I ask for?” he admitted.
Momzillas is about two
lovers (Billy and Andi) who plan to get married, yet are hindered because of
their mom’s (Maricel and Eugene) feud which spanned long ago ever since they
themselves were young over a man they both fell in love with. The tragedy that happens
is when the two mothers get lost on a remote island which forces them to
cooperate and get along to survive. As they settle their issues, their children
are on the verge of separation. What will happen next and how can the family
and motherly bond save the relationships?
Everyone is lined up to
watch the newest and most entertaining movie by Star Cinemas as Momzillas was
released in cinemas nationwide just September 18, 2013.
