As 2014 if swiftly approaching, many movie-goers are excited for the line-up of new movies appearing on the big screen next year.

February

Included in those movies is RoboCop, a remake of the classic 1987 movie of the same name. To come out around February 2014, many await the arrival of the sci-fi action starring Joel Kinnaman along with Gary Oldman and Samuel L. Jackson.
Another February movie is Warner Bros. Picture's, The Lego Movie. The story revolves around Emmet, an ordinary and absolutely average LEGO minifigure whose identification is mistaken as the most extraordinary person and key to saving the world. Follow his quest along with the voice actors of Chris Pratt as Emmet along with Channing Tatum as Superman and others like Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman.

March

In March 2014, the Electronic Arts video game, Need for Speed is coming to big screen with the same name with the help of Touchstone Pictures and DreamWorks Studios and the direction of Scott Waugh. The story starts out as an almost impossible cross-country race against time as a mission of revenge, but ends up to be one of redemption. The movie will star Aaron Paul, Imogen Poots, Dominic Cooper and others.
To those who loved the movie 300, get ready for the sequel coming out also in March with the name of 300: Rise of an Empire revolving around the story of 300 and the battle at sea between Themosticles and Xerxes' Naval Commander, Artemesia.

April

April 2014 is highlighted by the long awaited sequel to Captain America, which will be entitled, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Will Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America ever be able to live a normal life? Starring in it are Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson and more.
April is also holding Disneynature's film Bears and 20th Century Fox’s sequel, Rio 2.


May

It seems as if May is the month of superheroes next year as the exciting new continuation to the X-Men legacy will be showing worldwide with the movie X-Men: The Days of Future’s Past. The story is wrapped around the present day X-Men trying to force an important event that could unfold the alternate future where mutants are imprisoned in concentration camps and giant robots patrol America while most of the X-Men have been hunted and killed.



A sequel to The Amazing Spiderman will also be showing that month starring Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy once again. Peter Parker has a busy life but he hasn't forgotten his promise to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away. Things change as a new villain and an old friend appears and Peter uncovers more clues about his past.
More to wait this May is Warner Bros. Picture's new Godzilla, Clarius Entertainment's Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return, and much awaited Walt Disney Picture's Maleficent starring Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning.







June

Sequel to 20th Century Fox's movie based on Cressida Cowell's novel, How to Train Your Dragon 2 will be coming out on June 2013. Follow Viking Hiccup and his faithful dragon Toothless as they must save the future from a power-hungry Drago.
June is also bringing Transformer 4: Age of Extinction with an all new cast and storyline. Get ready for an all-new age of transformers.
Also a sequel to Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill's 21 Jump Street will be showing with the title, 22 Jump Street.

July

July is an exciting month as more sequels will be coming out. Walt Disney Pictures presents Planes: Fire and Rescue and 20th Century Fox presents Dawn of the Planet of the Apes which is a sequel to Rise of the Planet of the Apes setting 15 years after the events of the first film and following Caesar as he presides over the fall of the human civilization.
Much more to look forward to is another installation to the Fast and the Furious franchise making this Fast and the Furious 7, and MGM's Hercules: The Thracian Wars starring awards-winning actor, Dwayne Johnson.

August

August is showing the continuation of the Expendables franchise in The Expendables 3 which revolves around the team needing to save the President of the United States.
Marvel is also presenting a new movie named The Guardians of the Galaxy.
Fans of E. L. James, Fifty Shades of Grey should also be excited for the movie coming out in August starring Dakota Johnson and Charlie Hunnam as college senior Anastasia Steele and young wealthy entrepreneur Christian Grey.

September

Not much info is provided for September movie, Resident Evil 6 but keep your eyes open for the showing of it starring Milla Jovovich as Alice.
There will also be a sequel for true story, Dolphin Tale named Dolphin Tale 2 in September 2014.

October

October, the month of screams and horror will present Universal Picture's Dracula Untold as it revolves around the life of the first vampire who was actually a young price who risked his soul to save his wife and child from a bloodthirsty sultan.
To continue the scares 20th Century Fox will make an adaptation of Mary Shelley's novel Frankenstein with a movie of the same name, and Paramount Picture's will introduce another installment to the Paranormal Activity franchise with its 5th movie.

November

A year after the showing of Hunger Games: Catching Fire, in November 2014  part one of the two-part sequel, Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 will be introduced to cinemas worldwide along with 20th Century Fox's, Home and others.

December


The last month of 2014 will end with a bang as the prequel to the LOTR series will continue its trilogy with The Hobbit: There and Back Again following the hobbit, Bilbo Baggins and his journey through Middle Earth this December 2014.
More movies to wait for are another installment to the Night at the Museum franchise, Night at the Museum 3 and spin-off of the hit franchise Despicable Me with the adorable movie, Despicable Me Minions.
Another Disney film will also hit the theaters with the title, Tomorrowland starring George Clooney, Britt Robertson, Hugh Laurie and more.
Those were just some of the upcoming movies for the year 2014.
