confirmed! Kapamilya actress and TV
Host, Anne Curtis will be playing
the role of Dyesebel in the new
television adaptation of “Dyesebel”!
The
highly-awaited news was announced just on Thursday afternoon during a press
conference at the ABS-CBN compound
in Quezon City. The role isn’t a
shock to the public, but also to Anne as she only found out that she was the
leading actress on Wednesday. With the newfound info, Anne is more than excited
as she told everyone that playing Dyesebel was her dream role.
""Kababalik ko lang.
Nalaman ko lang kahapon. Kahapon lang sinabi sa akin. It is overwhelming. 2013
is a tough year ay may maganda pa lang mangyayari," Anne said. “It's
another dream come true. Sobra lang akong speechless kasi ang laking project
nito. Sinasabi ko noon dream role ko Dyesebel. So ito na, 2014, great way to
start the year, “she added.
Although, the role of a mermaid
isn’t new to Anne, since she portrayed a similar character the ABS-CBN 2008
fantasy series of “Dyosa”, but a
mermaid wasn’t her main role as she was also a harpy and centaur.
Pumped up for the new role,
Anne declaims that she is going to try her bet to get ready and fit for her new
role. "Gusto ko lang maging magaling na Dyesebel. Gagawin ko lahat,
magaaral ako ng fin swimming para maging ibang level na Dyesebel." She had
said.
Playing along with her in the
new television series will be leading men Gerald
Anderson and her ex-boyfriend Sam
Milby.
Other actresses in the past to
have played the role of Dyesebel on the big screen are Vilma Santos (1973), Alice
Dixson (1990), Charlene Gonzales
(1996), and Marian Rivera (2008 GMA
7 adaptation).
