Popular TV personality and model, Phoemela Baranda has been allegedly a
victim to Anne Curtis’ drunken
tirade at the high-class bar, Privé
Luxury Club in Taguig last month. Although, Phoemela has come out to
clarify parts of the incident like the detail of Anne Curtis and saying that
she could “buy” the club and her friends wherein she said was actually not true
and never happened.
"No, she didn't say, 'I can buy you,
your friends, and this club.' Hindi niya sa akin sinabi 'yon. Walang gano'n na
nangyari o sinabi si Anne. Hindi niya rin ako dinuro," Phoemela told Marie Lozano on ABS-CBN News on Wednesday.
Phoemela’s statement to the incident was
revealed three days after the publication of a narrated report from JR Isaac, magazine editor, which
provided the public with a detailed report of what happened between the
confrontation between Anne and Phoemela.
According to the publication mentioned, JR
had quoted to the Philippine
Entertainment Portal, an agitated Anne had pointed her finger at Phoemela
and screamed at her, "I can buy you, your friends, and this club!"
Also according to JR’s report, as a part of
Anne’s tirade, she also confronted John
Lloyd Cruz, Globe telecom executive Leah
de Guzman, and JR himself by allegedly slapping all of them.
The Philippine’s Sweetheart and “It’s
Showtime” host went to Twitter to publicly apologize to everyone after hours of
publishing the report. She admitted that “most of it is true,” as she also
added that she has apologized to all the parties involved already.
Along with her apology, the actress also
admitted that she “had one too many drinks which led to some of these
unfortunate events."
Although these alleged accusations have
been published, Phoemela has a different story.
First of all Phoemela explained that she
had no involvement to the situation before the incident that had triggered
Anne’s alleged angry tirade as she had explained and defended Anne and her
situation at that time.
"She wasn't angry at me, she didn't
call me names. Walang gano'ng pangyayari. She said something to me, but [it
was] because galit na siya sa ibang individuals doon. And naintindihan ko na
sometimes 'pag galit ka na, you know, kahit kaigiban mo na 'yung kaharap mo,
nasasabi mo 'yung galit mo doon sa kaibigan. And I totally understand
that," Phoemela had said. "Wala kaming away ni Anne. Hindi kami 'yung
magkaaway that time. Walang galit si Anne sa akin that time." The 33
year-old model had added.
For the questions about the individuals who
were involved in the start of who and what had possibly triggered Anne’s
incident, Phoemela said that she could only speak of what happened between her
and Anne.
"I'm not in the position to make
kwento or say kung ano ang nangyari doon sa may banyo because I was in the
other side of the VIP area. Kung ano man ang nangyari, I can only say kung ano
ang nangyari sa amin ni Anne," Phoemela said.
Her statement seemed to be as a reference
to JR’s report where he called Anne “very mad” as she stepped out of the
bathroom and where according to him, Anne asked the group of ‘Who’s banging my
door?’
As friends and professionalism go, Phoemela
has dismissed the information of Anne ever saying that she could “buy the club”
and that several versions of the incident have been circulating everywhere.
"Siguro 'yung mga kaibigan ko na
nasabihan ko na Anne said something to me, 'yung nasabihan ko, sinabi sa
iba," she said. "Lahat na ng tao may iba't-ibang bersyon na napakalayo
na sa sinabi ni Anne."
As Phoemela has emphasized that she has
already moved on from the incident, she also added, "She (Anne) already
apologized to me the following day or the same morning for whatever she said or
have done that night. "Lahat na ng tao may kanya-kanya nang version ng
napakaliit na sinabi ni Anne," she said. "Sobrang wala na. And a few
hours after, Anne apologized. I've moved on, and I hope the people move on na
rin."
Phoemela is very professional and kind
about the incident as she has totally moved on from what happened, people make
mistakes, but as friends and even fans we just have to forgive and forget
right?
