GMA and GMA Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe
L. Gozon celebrates the Christmas season with the launching of their Christmas
Station ID and their campaign, “Sundan Natin Ang Bituin Pabalik sa Kanyang
Piling” to inspire viewers of the true spirit of the season.
He also states the saying of, “At the heart
of the Christmas celebration is God’s gift to us, the birth of His only
begotten Son.” Gozon stated. “Through this campaign, we hope to enjoin every
Kapuso to rejoice in this most precious and significant demonstration of love
ever bestowed on mankind.”
The video features Kapuso’s News, Public
Affairs, and Entertainment personalities as they pay homage to Christ Jesus’
birth and night of Nativity. Representing the shepherds and the Magi’s travel
to the Manger, the GMA stars feature a similar journey as they follow the Star
of Bethlehem and Guiding Light.
Gilberto Duavit Jr., GMA Network’s
President and COO shares, “In the middle of the holiday rush and festivities,
we hope that GMA, through this campaign, moves us to take pause and be reminded
of the real reason why we celebrate Christmas. We wish to inspire every Kapuso
to take that meaningful journey with us to our Lord Jesus in the manger.”

plug premiered on November 12 during GMA’s noontime show, “Eat Bulaga”.
The Christmas jingle, “Ang Tunay na Regalo
ng Pasko,” is a mellow hymn along with a blend of pop and contemporary feel was
created and brought to us by the Philipines Sandolphon Singer, members of the
alumni of the UP Concert Chorus, who have been serving the EDSA Shrine for
about 20 years.
