For Alicia Keys, born as Alicia Augello Cook, helping victims of natural disasters from countries around the world is a normal thing for her. As one of the most well-known names in the international music industry, she already has made a name for herself as she was one of the first artists who used their music talents and arts for free in creating a Hope for Haiti album when the Caribbean nation of Haiti was hit by a 7-magnitude earthquake in 2010.

Now moving on, the Grammy-awarded artist rendered herself and talents for the typhoon victims of Typhoon Yolanda at the Villamor Airbase as she played with the kids who have been displaced by the powerful typhoon. She was also in Manila for her Philippine-leg of her concert which was scheduled yesterday (November 25) night at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

During the concert, her hit songs were sung by the R & B Dive like “Girl on Fire”, “No One”, “Fallin”, “Empire State of Mind”, and “A Woman’s Worth”. Alicia never fails to surprise as she performed her #1 hit, “If I Ain’t Got You” alongside with Asia’s Songbird and local star, Regine Velasquez. The amazing performance of international and local star can be watched below:

According to the Philippine Star, Alicia kindly stayed over for around a half an hour to have some chit-chat with the evacuees. She was quoted in stating, "Music has a way of lifting your spirit and that's what I hope to do for the Filipino people."
