From wholesome little girl of Hannah Montana, artist and actress Miley Cyrus seems to have gone off the deep end, but has she
really?

A documentary on the 20-year old star will be featured in a
one-hour documentary called, “Miley: The
Movement” which premieres this Wednesday at 10pm. As a fast paced
documentary by MTV, they have followed
Miley and her progress ever since her early summer debut of Miley 2.0 with her
hit single “We Can’t Stop” all the
way to her emotional song and naked music video with the chart-topping, “Wrecking Ball”.
Miley uses the title of “movement” as that is what she calls
her 360 transformation from the innocent Disney star to the current 20-year old
that is doing whatever she wants and doesn’t give a damn about what others
think. "I just
needed to let go of the past in a way, so I felt like I could be the bad b---h
I am," she says in the documentary.
In the documentary, Miley emphasizes with force to the
choice of words in the title with, “People always want to call it a
transition . . . It’s not a transition, it’s a movement. It’s a growth. It’s a
change.”
Although Miley has been portraying a Cyrus we have never
encountered before, under her shenanigans, twerking, and tongue-sticking, she
is an independent woman who knows what she is doing.
Just recent VMAs
proved her ‘movement’ as her and Robin
Thicke discussed their performance before they took up the stage. “You can watch that performance and think that’s a
hot mess,” Miley says about the VMAs a few days after. “But it’s a strategic
hot mess. If I
wanted a raunchy sex show, I wouldn't have been dressed as a damned bear."
In an interview with MTV,
Miley and Robin repeated said before the performance that, “You know we're about to
make history right now.” This currently proves to be very true as Miley tops
the trends in the online universe.
All the teddy bears, nudity, and provocative foam finger
moves weren’t just an on-the-spot performance, but a very well laid out
‘strategy’ for making history.
As Miley kept mentioning that their performance was all part of the
strategy, she couldn’t help but say that she didn’t over think about the whole
thing. "You're thinking about it more than I thought about it when I did
it. Like, I didn't even think about it because that's just me.”
At least Miley knows what she’s doing and seems to be holding on to what
she believes in and isn’t going off the deep end and blaming someone or
something else for her actions.
Yes, many people are shocked, confused, and some are even
down right insulted of Miley and her change into the young woman she grew up
into, but she still holds the title of inspiration as she always emphasizes the
means of just being yourself.
Most people try to hide behind the façade of being this or
that, but Miley feels as if a new artist who can finally be herself after for
so long has been made her growth and change, "I was like born to be who I am like right now,"
she says.
How do you feel about Miley’s change? If you were once a
Smiler, are you still now? Is she still an inspiration to you? Comment below!
No! I dont like her transition or what she called it 'being myself'! That is not something to be admired of!
