According to the United States Geological Survey; in the remote area of Awaran district in Baluchistan province, West Pakistan a deadly 7.8 magnitude earthquake was felt 145 miles south of supposed quake-prone Dalbandin province just this Tuesday afternoon.

The earthquake has created many to be homeless as well as lose loved ones. Already more than 200 have been killed and over 30% of houses and properties were destroyed.

The strength of the earthquake caused a seabed to rise and make the illusion that a small island was created 600 meters away from Gwadar, Pakistan's coastline. Director of the National Seismic Monitoring Center, Zahid Rafi said, "That big shock beneath the earth causes a lot if disturbance."

It was said that a similar island rose 60 years ago in the same area although disappeared soon after.

As media channels caught the island on footage and film, crowds gathered at the shore to take a look as the very unusual event from the seismic activity.

The strange island has the measurements of about 120 feet in length, 300 feet in width, and 60-70 feetin height. Methane gas has also been found around the island when a marine biologist from the National Institute of Oceanography in Pakistan Mohammad Danish stated what a team of expert said after visiting the island. "Our team found bubble rising from the surface of the island when a match was lit and we forbade our team to start any flame. It's methane gas." He said said on Geo TV news.

Another finding was by a seismologist from University of Melbourne in Australia named Gary Gibson which said that the island is a "mud volcano". The temblor made the methane gas push rock and soil upward causing it to rise, making the island rise, he concluded.

This island may be an amazing discovery, but the disaster it has caused leaves many people, especially those still trapped inside their houses, to become victims of an increased injured and death toll. Chief Secretary Babar Yacoob expects as so to become a problem.

Although, helicopters carrying relief supplies and 200 army troops have been reported to have been dispatched in order to aid the disaster victims.
