Miss World 2013: Megan Young Wins Top Model Award & Challenge Winners are Announced
Megan Young has proved her expertise and beauty throughout the Miss World 2013 pageant held in Bali, Indonesia as she has placed in 3 out of 5 challenges in the competition.
Megan has been placed
on top of the Top Model challenge where she portrayed her poise and elegance and placed 5th
in the Beach Fashion challenge where she modestly wore a beautiful swimsuit with
sarong, while Miss Brazil’s Sancler Frantz
Konzen won the challenge. Megan also placed 4th in the Multimedia challenge
which India’s Navneet Dhillon took the win
allowing India a two years in a row award, the challenge depended on the
candidate’s social media accounts.
Unfortunately, Megan’s
Beauty with a Purpose video did not
make it to the Top 10. The video showed beautiful Megan Young and Miss World
Philippines National Director, Cory Quirino s they helped the victims of the
recent floodings. Megan also wasn’t able to achieve a spot in the Sports
challenge.
No matter is to be
worried about Megan through some hallenges she didn’t place and even the
controversy which is trying to put her down as she still remains a crowd
favorite by retaining support by enthusiasts rooting for her to win and the
contestant with the most pageant media.
Just announced on Friday, Spetember 27 leading up to the
coronation night, the organizers revealed the winners for all 5 Miss World challenges which are as
shown below:
Beach Fashion Challenge
- Winner: Sancler Frantz (Brazil)
- 2nd Place: Marine Lorphelin (France)
- 3rd Place: Naa Okalley Shooter (Ghana)
- 4th Place: Gina Hargitay (Jamaica)
- 5th Place: Megan Young (Philippines)
Sports Challenge:
- Winner: Jacqueline Steenbeek (Netherlands)
- 2nd Place: Elena Ibarbia Jimenez (Spain)
- 3rd Place: Meagan Green (Ireland)
- 4th Place: Coral Ruiz Reyes (Paraguay)
- 5th Place: Paola Ayala (El Salvador)
Top Model Challenge
- Winner: Megan Young (Philippines)
- 2nd Place: Olivia Jordan (United States)
- 3rd Place: Marine Lorphelin (France)
- 4th Place: Anna Zaiachkivska (Ukraine)
- 5th Place: Sancler Frantz. (Brazil)
