A post by adobochronicles.com has been posted about the Philippines being banned and disqualified from joining Beauty Pageants for the next two years after consistent wins from the Philippines in all Miss Pageants which are Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Supranational.

The news by adobochronicles.com is just plain satire which is what the site revolves around, just playful teases of the ongoing lives politically and socially. It has spread to different social networking sites although they didn't know it was just satire and just an innocent rumor. Don't take it as a personal attack on the Philippines and their beautiful Filipinas, but take it as a pride and realization of how successful us Filipinos are.

Although, in regards to the Philippines and their success in the pageant world, the Philippines has earned a name in the pageant industry as so far, the Philippines has won places in all major beauty pageants in the world as either winning or placing top 5.

This year, even the new beauty contest, Miss Supranational was won by Filipina, Mutya Datul while the well-known Miss World competition was won by Philippines for the first time by Megan Young. Also Annalie Forbes placed fourth in Miss International while Ariella Arida was a fourth runner-up in Miss Universe. All by the Philippines, all by Filipinas.

Not only this year, but in years ago, before Megan Young, Evangeline Pascual was able to reach the finals in Miss World and became first runner-up in 1973 while Ruffa Gutierrez placed second runner-up in 1993. Other international Filipina beauties were Gloria Diaz, Margie Moran and Miriam Quiambao (Miss Universe), Mimilanie Marquez, Aurora Pijuan, Gemma Cruz and Precious Lara Quigaman (Miss International) and Karla Henry (Miss Earth 2008).

In the recent years of 2010, 2011, 2012, and of course, 2013 the Philippines has never failed by consistently placing in the top 5 of the Miss Universe competition which were Venus Raj in 2010, Shamcey Supsup in 2011, Janine Tugonon in 2012, and the recent Ariella in 2013.

It is still amazing to know that our country has been consistent in showing our Filipino Pride in all the major beauty competitions. Although, Venezuela has also been giving countries a run for the crown as their country’s representatives have been strong.
