Ever since Super Typhoon Yolanda hit last November, aid from all over the world in-kind or cash donations and pledges from more than 50 countries has arrived continuously giving fellow Filipinos hope to be able to stand up once again from the most devastating catastrophe that hit our country.
Now our Filipino musical artists and talents will be led by some of the most popular and known names in the international music industry to collaborate a huge ‘thank you’ to the whole world for all the aid and help given to the Philippines through the music video, “Listen with Your Heart” premiering this Tuesday (February 25) in “It’s Showtime” and after “TV Patrol” on ABS-CBN.
“As the distraught victims sought refuge, the world reached out and offered help in the form of relief goods, rescue, and medical assistance to help the Filipinos survive and move on from this disaster. Through their help and also the help of our countrymen, we are slowly picking up the pieces from what seemed to be an insurmountable adversity. It is time to show the world our heartfelt gratitude,” ABS-CBN Creative Communications Management head Robert Labayen had explained.
Our international and world-renown names to lead this wonderful message of gratitude are artists Arnel Pineda, Lea Salonga, Lani Misalucha, and Billy Crawford who will be singing the heartfelt theme song “Listen with Your Heart” along with our local musical stars Yeng Constantino, Jovit Baldivino, Bugoy Drilon, Jaimie Rivera, KZ Tandingan, Wynn Andrada, Liezl Garcia, Marion Aunor, Juris Fernandez and Angeline Quinto.
This very meaningful song has heartfelt lines like, “Even the strongest heart can break. When we’ve had too much to take” and “Beyond our faith. Beyond our race. Hand in hand we’ll rise above,” are part of “Listen with Your Heart” which is written by Christine Daria-Estabillo with music by Marcus Davis Jr. and written in English as it’s in the universal language, English, to reach all corners of the Earth with its powerful meaning.
A music video as a huge thanks to the world holds a powerful meaning to not only gratitude but to humanity itself and the proof of how different cultures and nations can become one and hold each other steadfast in times of need.
