Fresh from the
popular show, “Buzz ng Bayan”, and
interview with Teen King Daniel Padilla and
Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo with
co-host Boy Abunda has revealed the
truth behind the top-trending love-team of ‘KathNiel’.
The start of
this revelation was supposedly to come from a tweet by BB Gandanghari for Daniel where the tweet referred Kathryn as
Daniel’s ‘young girlfriend’. The tweet went viral all over the web between
Filipino netizens.
Although the
tweet was viral, Daniel had doubts about who actually tweeted since the tweet
was postd for ‘Danilo’ when BB Gandanghari only refers to Daniel as plain
Daniel.
“Hindi naman yata si Tita BB 'yan. Daniel lang
[ang tawag niya sa akin],” he said.
Pushing the
confusion aside to who really tweeted the post, Boy Abunda went straight to the
point about Kathryn and Daniel’s relationship asking frankly, “Ganito na
lamang. Ano ba talaga ang estado ng inyong relasyon ni Kathryn?”
The question
left Daniel speechless for a moment as he had to gather the right words which
could perfectly describe both his and Kathryn’s relationship status and
friendship with Kathryn.
“Ganun pa rin naman, kagaya last year. Close
pa rin kami talaga, MU (mutual understanding) pa rin,” he said. Although not
enough to satisfied Boy Abunda, he added, “Ganun ba? Wala na ring oras manligaw
ng iba. Siguro ganun nga 'yun.”
It was then
Kathryn’s turn to speak up as she admitted that she isn’t ready to be in a
serious relationship yet although she is turning 18 this March.
“Hindi muna siguro ako ready talaga na
makipag-commit talaga, 'yung may obligations na. Enjoy lang muna kasi mayroon
pang school and meron pang trabaho. Pero hindi naman masama magkaroon ng
inspiration,” she said.
As a good
girl, Kathryn also admitted that she is always very open and honest with her
parents, even when it comes to the topic of relationships, “As far as I know,
siguro po oo naman [boto si mama kay Daniel] kasi feeling ko na-gain na din
kasi 'yung trust and na-prove na rin naman siguro niya na maganda ang intention
niya.”
Also during
the interview, the sweet duo gave each other heartfelt messages to one another.
“Gusto kong
mag-thank you sa patience niya sa akin. Kasi hindi mo maiiwasan na since puyat
kami, minsan moody na sa taping lalo na kapag madaling araw. Sa kanya ko
nabubuhos ang mga galit ko, and maigsi na ang patience ko sa kanya,” Kathryn
stated for Daniel.
While Daniel
thanked Kathryn with, “Last year and last last year, thank you dahil maraming
natulong si Kathryn sa akin. Simula pa lang siya na ang tumulong sa akin
hanggang last year, siya pa rin ang nag-guide sa akin.”
Also, the
excited Daniel showed his excitement for the upcoming year as he wishes and
hopes to have more projects with Kathryn
“Sana marami
pa tayong magawang magagandang bagay na magpapasaya ng mga tao at ikakasaya
nating dalawa,” he said.
