As announced on social networking site, Twitter by talent manager and veteran actress Annabelle Rama, she has confirmed that her son Richard Gutierrez is going to transfer to another television network.
Her tweet had quoted, "Sa lahat ng mga nagtatanong kung saang tv network lilipat si Chard, wait nyo na lang sa January 21 ang big announcement, thanks.”
The question now is, where is Richard to transfer to? GMA’s rival network of ABS-CBN to join the family of a Kapamilya, or to the network where his family shines like stars as a Kapatid on TV5?
Already obvious hints of Richard’s transfer has been noticed as he didn’t renew his to-be contract for 3 years with GMA. There are several reasons and hints that lead to why.
Lately, the Kapuso star hasn’t been seen on television for a while which has been the start of the rumors of his transfer. Along with this, Richard’s projects have been a disappointment along with his last film where he starred along Kapuso Superstar Marian Rivera which was titled “My Lady Boss”. The movie was under GMA Films and Regal Entertainment and didn’t hit well at the box office as they were only able to gross Php 19.45M according to Box Office Mojo.
Other conflicts between Richard and the network was between him and the CEO’s daughter, Annette Gozon-Abrogar who has filed a lawsuit against his girlfriend, Sarah Lahbati. There was also a situation where GMA gave him a “fat memo” which apparently insulted him.
Although currently a freelancer, the questions of where he’s to transfer to save his dying career will be revealed on January 21, as Annabelle has declared.
Stories are told that if Richard was to transfer to ABS-CBN, he could be Kapamilya’s Captain Barbell along with the network’s comeback shows of Angel Locsin as Darna and mystery actress as Dyesebel.
