Today, December 3 is the birthday of superstar Jessica Mendiola Tawile or popularly known as, Jessy Mendiola.

Let us all greet her a happy happy birthday a huge congratulations for her and her success in the showbiz life and amazing role as Maria Mercedes!

Early Life

Born on December 3, 1992, Mendiola was born in the United Arab Emirates where her father used to work at that time. Her mother is Filipino and her father is half British, half Lebanese. Mendiola is the second of three siblings and when she was three years old, her and her elder sister, Pamela moved with their mother to the Philippines. She studied at Far Eastern University.

Career

Jessy Mendiola was under ABS-CBN's Star Magic Batch 15 as one of 18 talents which included Megan Young, Carlo Guevarra, and Alfonso Martinez. Along with them and the rest of their Star Magic batchmates, they joined the cast of 'Star Magic Presents: Abt Ur Luv', when it was upgraded to 'Abt Ur Luv Ur Lyf 2' in 2007. In that year, she also had a minor role in 'Sineserye Presents: Natulog Ba Ang Diyos?'

In 2008 in the TV Series 'Volta', which wat adapted from the Star Cinema movie of the same name, Mendiola was cast as Chappy Girl. Also that year, she was supposed to appear in 'Habang May Buhay' as she was featured in the trailer of the show which title was originally 'Humingi Ako Sa Langit'. Although supposed tobe aired in 2008, the TV series was cancelled, reshot and recast.

In 2010, she guested in 'George and Cecil' where she played the love interest of Dino Imperial, Jun. She had also revealed that she was pulled out of 'Habang May Buhay' and got to cast in the TV series 'Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo' as Christina instead. To only be a one week appearance, it wasextended due to her feedback in the series. She was also cast as a reformed rebel teenager in 'Your Song Presents: Gimik 2010'. Mendiola was supposed to appear in 'Kokey @ Ako' in opposite to Enrique Gil, but had their characters written off in favor of Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco. In the end, she returned as a continuous character in the final episodes of 'Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo'.

Mendiola also had lead roles in 'Maalaala Mo Kaya: "Marriage Contract"' and in 'Wansapanataym: "Kakambal Ko'y Manika"', although her biggest break was her title role in the afternoon show, 'Sabel'.

In 2011, as 'Sabel' ended, Mendiola joined 'ASAP Rocks' and was referred to as a part of ASAP's "Dance Squad" along with Enching Dee, Sam Conception, and Empress Schuck. Earlier, she casted in 'Agimat: Ang Mga Alamat ni Ramon Revilla Presents: Bianong Bulag' as Isabel Valderama. April that year, she appeared as Risa in and episode of 'Maalaala Mo Kaya' entitled "Medalyon" and became a guest judge for 'Showtime'. Also as opposite Enrique Gil and Gerald Anderson in the primetime TV series, 'Budoy', she portrayed the role of Jackie Marasigan.

In 2012, Mendiola starred in the movie, 'The Reunion' along with Xian Lim, Enchong Dee, and Enrique Gil. Also as starring part, she was in the afternoon TV show, 'Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Paraiso' along with Matteo Guidicelli, Jewel Mische, and Matt Evans.

Currently, in 2013, she is playing in her second biggest break in the primetime series and remake of 'Maria Mercedes' as Mercedes herself.
