The video clip below was released by the producers and shows the audition tapes of our well-loved Filipino stars Jonjon Briones, Rachelle Ann Go, and Eva Noblezada, who is a Filipino-American and came over to work hard to be portraying the lead role of Kim.
The
main casts of the western
revival musical of “Miss
Saigon”
was just announced on Friday.
In
the video, “Miss Saigon” producer, Cameron Mackintosh
declared that he was thrilled to have Rachelle Ann Go portray the
role of Gigi, a bar girl who has been hardened over the years,
who was originally portrayed by Pinay Isay Alvarez. Her
audition tape showed her performing “The Movie in My
Mind.”
"One of the most important small roles in
'Miss Saigon' is the role of Gigi because she has the first big
moment of the show," Mackintosh's narration stated in the video,
"I'm really thrilled that we have found one of the leading star
talents in the Philippines at the moment. She's a major, major
recording artist and star in television. She is a beautiful,
beautiful girl with an amazing voice to play Gigi," he added.

Carroll as
Ellen, and Alistair
Brammer as
Chris.

who is discovered by doing a high school concert in New York was Eva
Noblezada, a
Filipino-American.
