Daniel Padilla is a Nominee in World Music Awards 2013

Kapamilya’s Teen King and heartthrob Daniel Padilla has been noticed by his talent in the music industry as he is a nominee in this year’s World Music Awards. Daniel will be competing against American Idol finalist David Archuleta and many other popular hit artists like Justin Timberlake, David Bowie, Robin Thicke, Justin Bieber, and David Guetta.

Daniel is honored to be nominated in three categories of the World Music Awards 2013 which are namely; Best Live Act, World’s Best Entertainer of the Year, and World’s Best Male Artist.

To be competing against Daniel in the Best Live Act category are Filipino singers Sarah Geronimo, Regine Velasquez, and Jed Madela. Who are also equally up against Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Eminem, Britney Spears, and K-pop sensations Super Junior, Psy, and many others.

To be competing also in the Best Entertainer of the Year category are also fellow Pinoy singers Jed Madela, Regine Velasquez, and Sarah Geronimo. To contend with them are Beyonce, Adele, Christina Aguilera, Bruno Mars, Ne-Yo, Madonna, Celine Dion, and others.

Joining Daniel as nominees in The World’s Best Male category are also Filipino singers Jed Madela and Christian Bautista.

The World Music Awards stated in their official website that the WMAs “honours the best-selling recording artists from every continent. The WORLD MUSIC AWARDS are presented on sales merit and voted by the public on the Internet.”

The artists who are chosen to compete in the WMAs are chosen by basing the artist’s global sales figures which are provided by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry.

There are nine awards in all which are the World’s; Best Male Artist, Best Female Artist, Best Entertainer of the Year, Best Song, Best Video, Best Electronic Dance Music Artist, Best Live Act, Best Act, and Best Group.
