ABS-CBN and Philippines longest running drama anthology, Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK), has been nominated in the 2013 International Emmys! It isn’t the first time Philippines has gotten a spot in these Emmys before as last year 24 Oras and I Witness were both nominated but failed to win the award.

This year, only MMK was the only one nominated from the award giving body. Maalaala Mo Kaya will compete against 3 other shows which are from The United Kingdom, Brazil, and France for the Best Drama Series Award.

It is an honor to be nominated in such an awarding as the International Emmys released the worldwide list of nominees. The Academy produces the International Emmy Awards Gala and The International Emmys World Television Festival every November in New York City.

In the event, the Festival screen many current shows and feature world-class directors and producers to talk about their work. The International Emmy Awards Gala is actually the day after the Festival. During the Emmys, they will announce the winner of the world as the event attracts 1,000 important figures in entertainment, broadcast and media worldwide.

Below are the 4 Nominees for The Best Drama Series:

·         Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK)
ABS-CBN (Philippines

·         Next in Line
TV Globo (Brazil)

·         Les Revenants (Rebound
Haut et Court TV / Canal+ Original Programming (France)

·         Accused
RSJ Films (UK)

Since last year Philippines wasn’t able to take the awards, let’s show our support and hope that Maalaala Mo Kaya will be the winning series to the International Emmys against the UK, Brazil, and France! Also don’t forget a congratulation to Philippine Television as they have already provided 60 years of service!
